Guinea
Quick facts for planning your visit
Guinea is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) — that's 4 or 5 hours ahead of New York (depending on Daylight Savings) and 1 hour behind Paris. Direct flights to Conakry's Gbessia International Airport are available from Paris, Brussels, and Casablanca, with connections from major US cities typically routing through one of those hubs. Flight time from Paris is roughly 6 hours.
Our neighborhoods in Coyah Prefecture enjoy a tropical climate averaging 27°C (80°F) year-round. The dry season runs from November through April — the most popular time for diaspora visits and site inspections. The rainy season (May–October) brings lush greenery but heavier road conditions. We recommend negotiating your contract during the rainy season, and starting your foundation at the very beginning of the dry season, for the fastest build times.
The local currency is the Guinean franc (GNF). Most transactions with Jobomax are conducted in US dollars.
