Cameroon is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+1) — 6 hours ahead of New York and on the same clock as Paris. There are no direct flights from the US; most travelers connect through Paris (Air France, ~7.5 hours to Douala or Yaoundé), Brussels, or Istanbul. Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport is the closest airport to our neighborhoods.

Our Tsinga Village and Nkolfoulou communities are both in the greater Yaoundé area, Cameroon's capital. The climate is tropical with average temperatures around 24°C (75°F) — cooler than coastal West Africa thanks to the city's higher elevation. The dry season runs from November through February, with a second dry spell in July and August, making those the preferred months for site visits.

The local currency is the Central African CFA franc (XAF). Transactions with Jobomax are conducted in US dollars.
