Ghana
Quick facts for planning your visit
Ghana is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) — 5 hours ahead of New York and 1 hour behind Paris. Accra's Kotoka International Airport is one of the best-connected hubs in West Africa, with direct flights from New York (JFK), Washington (Dulles), and Atlanta on Delta and United, plus direct service from London, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris. Flight time from New York is roughly 11 hours nonstop.
Our Appolonia City neighborhood is in the greater Accra area, positioned along the city's eastern growth corridor. The climate is tropical with average temperatures around 28°C (82°F). Ghana has two rainy seasons — the main one from April to July and a shorter one from September to November. The drier months of December through March are the most popular time for diaspora visits. We recommend negotiating your contract during the rainy season, and starting your foundation at the very beginning of the dry season, for the fastest build times.
The local currency is the Ghanaian cedi (GHS). Transactions with Jobomax are conducted in US dollars.
